Brenda Bentt-Peters has worked for Brooklyn Public Library for over 15 years, currently as Supervisor of Community Outreach Services, where she directs the out-posts sites, providing books and services for homeless residents in Brooklyn. She also creates public awareness programs and initiatives around social justice, immigration, seniors and veterans issues. Prior to her work in Outreach, Ms. Bentt-Peters has been lobbying for libraries for 12 years securing operational and capital funding for 60 locations, and conducted advocacy trainings to library staff and other non-profit agencies.
