Chaitra Powell earned her MLS from the University of Arizona in 2010. In 2012, she was an IMLS fellow for the HistoryMakers, with a placement at the Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum in Culver City, CA. She earned her ACA designation in 2013 and finished a certificate in digitization from Pasadena City College. Since 2014, she has worked for the Southern Historical Collection (UNC-Chapel Hill) in African American Collections and Outreach.
