Tracy Crawford is the Curator of the Black Heritage Reference Center of Queens County which is located at Queens Library’s Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center. In her work as a librarian, she develops and manages collections, provides public service, and coordinates literary and cultural events which focus on the historical as well as contemporary Black experience throughout the African Diaspora. She is a member of ALA, BCALA, NYBLC and NYLA. She is the current co-chair of NYBLC’s Donna Hoke Scholarship Committee which helps to support the education of librarians of African descent and has also served on the Literary Awards Committee of BCALA.
