Librarian, civic engager, volunteer, life-long learner, Michelle is a nineteen year veteran with library experience in both the public and academic sectors. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Illinois University, a Master of Public Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago, and a Master of Science in Library Service from Clark Atlanta University. She currently serves as the chair of the Chicago Public Library's largest and longest-serving heritage committee -- African American Services Committee. She will co-present with Tracy Drake, of the Chicago Public Library, on how to start a new heritage committee at your organization; revitalize an existing one; and stay connected to your targeted community through innovative programs and resources.
