I serve as Library Director of the Ina Dillard Russell Library at Georgia College.  In my role, I provide strategic leadership, guiding a team of library professionals and support staff in enhancing and communicating the value and role of the library.  I am a graduate of Spelman College (B.A., History), Clark-Atlanta University (M.S.LS.), and Mercer University (PhD).  Through my professional and educational experiences, I've developed a passion for social justice issues, particularly those that relate to equity and access to education. My research interest is in leadership and organizational development within Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), with an emphasis on historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and their libraries. I am also interested in research related to the recruitment and retention of librarians of color and the application of critical theory to library and information studies.
